About the Authors

This website has been written for the Euphrates project by Miranda Dodwell and Rod Gibson who also created the www.BirthChoiceUK.com website.

Miranda has a Diploma of Higher Education in Antenatal Teaching and has taught antenatal classes for the National Childbirth Trust. She has a research background, with a Ph.D. in Genetics. She works as an independent maternity consultant with a special interests in maternity statistics, normal birth and women's experiences of the maternity services.

Rod is a freelance economist/statistician with a special interest in maternity statistics
